The hope for this third edition of Best Easy Day Hikes Santa Fe is to allow hikers of all levels of ability and time constraint to enjoy the same pleasures that John Muir found in nature.
In an effort to ensure all hikes truly fall under the category of “best easy,” all routes are less than 6 miles. The hikes cover a variety of areas and terrains in northern New Mexico, but all are within a short drive from the center of Santa Fe. This book aims to provide exposure to the multitude of experiences that hiking in and near Santa Fe can provide. Simultaneously, we hope the guide encourages hikers to go beyond the routes we have included and to explore further the regions described.
