The inheritors of a country estate are up in arms about eco-warriors on their land, but just how far will they go?

DCI Ben James and DS Jack Trent are called out to a community of self-sufficient environmental activists to investigate the discovery of human remains buried in their grounds.

The bones are not easy to identify, and the activists don’t seem to know how they ended up there.

DCI James’s girlfriend, the ever-inquisitive journalist Stacey Logan, decides to do some investigating of her own.

But tragedy strikes, and the police now have a full-scale murder investigation on their hands.

Someone is prepared to go to extreme lengths to protect what they believe is theirs by right.
